Bongo Beat will have a booth at the Toronto Word On The Street event, Sunday, Sept 26, at Queen's Park, Toronto. We are (appropriately) part of the Fringe Beat area. Please stop by to meet Ralph Alfonso and pick up copies of all our new releases, including Treat Me Like Dirt by Liz Worth. Some of our authors and artists will be hanging out throughout the day and of course, we'll have FREE CDS all day long while supplies last This is Canada's largest outdoor book market with over 220,000 visitors enjoying a wide range of activities. Bongo Beat has been associated with Word On The Street Vancouver for over 10 years as an exhibitor and talent consultant and we are happy to begin a long association with Toronto WOTS as an exhibitor! |

Former Concordia professor; G.G. Award for Literary Excellence in BC. Ann Eriksson will read from her third novel, Falling from Grace, praised by Nino Ricci. Author of Decomposing Maggie and In the Hands of Anubis. John Asfour Translator, author of 4 volumes of poetry in English & two in Arabic. Winner of the F.G. Bressani Literary Prize & the Joseph Staford award. Asa Boxer Author of a first book, Susan Elmslie Her poetry collection, I, Nadja, and Other Poems won the A.M. Klein Award and was shortlisted for three other prizes. Ralph Alfonso Montreal beat poet best known for his books, zines, & music. A documentary on his work has aired on Bravo! and CBC-TV. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts. |
